Accessibility Statement

Effective: January 01, 2026 Last Reviewed: October 23, 2026 Official App: ZoraGram (Android)

1. Inclusive Design Commitment

ZoraGram believes that modern social networking and digital storytelling should be accessible to everyone, including individuals with visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, or speech disabilities.

We continuously audit and optimize both our web portal (zoragram.in) and our Android application to remove digital barriers and provide an inclusive, welcoming user experience.

2. Standards & Guidelines (WCAG 2.1 AA)

Our development practices align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and the accessibility requirements under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act (India, 2016):

  • Perceivable: Ensuring all UI components and information can be perceived through screen readers, high contrast, and scalable typography.
  • Operable: Ensuring navigation and controls can be operated entirely through keyboard interfaces, switch access, or touch gestures.
  • Understandable: Clear typography, predictable form interactions, and unambiguous error messages.
  • Robust: Clean, standards-compliant HTML5 and Android semantic views that reliably interoperate with modern assistive technologies.

3. Website Accessibility Features

Key accessibility features implemented across this official website include:

  • Semantic Layouts: Proper usage of semantic landmark elements (<header>, <nav>, <main>, <section>, <footer>) and hierarchical heading structures (H1 through H4).
  • Color Contrast: Text colors meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text) against our light and dark backgrounds.
  • Keyboard Navigation: All navigation menus, links, buttons, and form inputs receive visible focus indicators and can be navigated via Tab and Shift+Tab keys.
  • Form Usability: Explicit <label> associations, descriptive placeholder hints, and live ARIA status alerts (role="alert") for error feedback.
  • Responsive Scaling: Content scales fluidly up to 200% zoom without loss of functionality or horizontal overflow clipping.

4. Android App Accessibility Features

Within the ZoraGram Android mobile app (com.zoragram.friendship):

  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Interactive controls, action icons (like, comment, share, bookmark), and tab navigation feature descriptive contentDescription tags for Google TalkBack.
  • Dynamic Font Scaling: Layouts adapt dynamically to user system font size preferences configured in Android OS accessibility settings.
  • Touch Target Sizes: Primary buttons and navigation targets maintain a minimum interactive footprint of 48×48 density-independent pixels (dp) to facilitate motor control.

5. Continuous Remediation

Accessibility is an ongoing journey. Because ZoraGram features dynamic, user-generated videos, reels, and photos, we continuously remind creators to provide descriptive captions and text summaries. We are actively exploring automated closed-captioning integrations for video playback.
