User Privacy Rights & Data Requests

1. Overview of Your Privacy Rights

ZoraGram is committed to empowering users with sovereignty over their personal data. In alignment with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and applicable global privacy laws, you possess fundamental rights regarding how your personal information is processed.

2. Right to Access & Data Portability

You have the right to request a summary of the personal data ZoraGram holds about you, the categories of data processed, and the identities of third-party service providers (such as Firebase for notifications) with whom data has been shared.

You may request an export of your account data (profile details, posts, comments, follower lists) in a machine-readable format.

3. Right to Correction & Update

You have the right to ensure that your personal information is accurate and complete:

• Most account details—including display name, bio, profile photo, and registered email—can be edited directly in the app under Profile > Edit Profile.
• If you discover data inaccuracies that cannot be corrected through the app interface, you may submit a formal rectification request.

4. Right to Erasure / Deletion

You have the right to withdraw your consent and request the permanent erasure of your personal data. You can exercise this right at any time:

• Directly inside the mobile app: Settings > Account > Delete Account.
• Via our dedicated Account & Data Deletion Page.

5. Right to Nominate & Grievance Redressal

Under the DPDP Act, you have the right to nominate an individual who will exercise your data rights in the event of death or incapacity. You also have the right to seek effective grievance redressal regarding any data privacy concern.
