1. Content Ownership & Rights
At ZoraGram, we respect the creative labor of artists, photographers, videographers, and writers. Creators retain full copyright and legal ownership of all original photos, short reels, videos, graphics, and text they upload to ZoraGram.
When you share content, you grant ZoraGram a non-exclusive license to host, display, and transmit your media across the platform to your followers and public feeds. You do not surrender your underlying copyright.
2. What Constitutes Infringement
Copyright infringement occurs when an individual reproduces, redistributes, or publicly displays protected creative work without authorization from the copyright holder or without a recognized legal exemption. This includes:
- Screen-recording another creator's reel or photo and re-uploading it as your own without permission.
- Distributing full commercial music tracks or movies outside permitted preview parameters.
- Using a brand's trademarked logos or slogans to mislead users into believing your account is an official company channel.
3. Fair Use & Commentary
Under copyright doctrines (such as Fair Use and Fair Dealing under the Indian Copyright Act, 1957), brief excerpts of copyrighted material may be utilized for criticism, parody, news reporting, scholarship, or review. When assessing claims, we evaluate the context and transformative nature of the content.
4. Notice & Take-down Procedure
If you believe your copyrighted work has been posted on ZoraGram without authorization, you or your authorized legal representative may submit a formal notification. The notice must include:
- Your full legal name, contact email, address, and physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- The exact post URL, handle, or identifier of the allegedly infringing material on ZoraGram.
- A statement made in good faith that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
To file a notice immediately, use our automated Copyright Complaint Form.
5. Counter-Notification Procedure
If you believe your content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification (such as authorized license or fair use), you may submit a formal Counter-Notification to our Copyright Agent. If a valid counter-notice is received, the original complainant will be notified and given 10–14 business days to file a court action before the content is restored.
6. Repeat Infringer Termination Policy
In compliance with applicable copyright standards, ZoraGram maintains a strict "Three-Strike" repeat infringer policy. Accounts that repeatedly upload infringing material will face permanent profile termination and device bans.
