1. Authenticity on ZoraGram
Authenticity is fundamental to creating a trustworthy social network. Users come to ZoraGram to interact with real individuals, follow verified creators, and engage with genuine businesses. Deceptive profiles that mislead or defraud the community undermine this trust.
2. Prohibited Impersonation Behaviors
You may not engage in any deceptive identity practices, including:
- Creating a profile copying another person's name, profile photo, and bio with the intent to mislead followers into believing you are that person.
- Posing as a government agency, police official, news organization, or corporate entity.
- Pretending to be a ZoraGram administrator, support agent, or verification auditor to solicit passwords or personal information.
- Operating "catfish" accounts designed to initiate deceptive romantic or financial fraud schemes.
3. Rules for Fan & Parody Accounts
ZoraGram recognizes that users enjoy creating fan tribute pages, educational commentary, and satirical parody accounts. Such accounts are permitted only if they satisfy all of the following requirements:
- Clear Bio Disclosure: The profile bio must clearly and prominently state: "Fan Page", "Parody Account", "Unofficial Commentary", or "Not affiliated with [Person/Brand]" in the first line of the bio.
- Distinct Display Name: The display name must distinguish the account (e.g. "Jane Doe (Fan Club)" rather than simply "Jane Doe").
- No Deceptive Messaging: The account may not message users in direct chat pretending to be the actual celebrity or entity.
4. Business & Brand Protection
Registered trademarks and corporate identities are protected on ZoraGram. Using a registered trademark as an account handle or profile avatar in a way that creates customer confusion or implies false sponsorship is prohibited and grounds for handle reassignment or account removal.
5. The Role of Blue Badge Verification
The official Blue Verification Badge on ZoraGram serves as a visual guarantee of authenticity for high-profile accounts, notable creators, and registered organizations. Verification applications undergo human identity validation to ensure public figures cannot be easily impersonated. Learn more on our Blue Badge Verification Policy.
6. Reporting an Impersonator
If you discover an account impersonating you or someone you represent:
- Open the impersonating profile in the ZoraGram app.
- Tap the three dots menu (⋮) in the upper right.
- Tap Report Account > Impersonation.
- Select whether they are impersonating you, someone you legally represent, or a public figure.
Reports of impersonation are reviewed by our safety team. Accounts confirmed to be deceptive are terminated permanently.
